Doggy Wings

Hey Guys,

I wanted to share with you the What Lifts You campaign murals that I did throughout New Zealand and Australia earlier this year.

As many of you know I started the What Lifts You campaign last year to provide people with the opportunity to share more about what inspires them in their life… I never expected the response I would receive. After just a week in NYC my first set of What Lifts You wings had a line down the street of people wanting to take a picture with the piece and post about what inspires them in their life. I realized that people love the opportunity to become a ‘living work of art’ by stepping into the wings and they love getting the chance to talk about what inspires them in their lives!

As I work through the final preparations for my European What Lifts You Campaign trip I am so honored and humbled by your support. AND I am so excited to take the campaign to a new part of the world.

  1. I am absolutely smitten!! What a lovely idea and your artistic ability is over the top! I am soooo glad AOL featured your story. I hope you will come to Dallas Texas. I’d love to have my pic taken between those awesome wings.

    Thank you.

    1. Thank you fo giving so much inspiration to so many. To realize there is no need for words, or directions for its use, is nothing short of artistic genius! And then there is the draftsmanship itself…Outstanding!

  2. Thank you for the beautiful wings in San Diego!!

I took my daughter there one day after school last week because she has such a love for art and photography and has been in the sandiego magazine for April 2016 for her pictures. She loved it!!!! She took pictures of me pictures of herself, with her iPhone and also with the Polaroid camera she has that day… Your murals are awesome!!!

  3. I love this for so many reasons. In daily lift we often get caught up in the hustle and bustle that we forget what is truly important! This simple question an aha moment for me! What lifts me! My Faimly, My love for people-all people, my passion for helping others, the reason I became a Registered Nurse, God and Jesus, My faith, My Angels! ❤❤❤this thank you!

  4. Hi Kelsey, so enjoying your adult coloring book how do I see individual pictures that you colored from “what lifts you” I’m trying to color the butterfly and would enjoy watching you and or seeing the colors you used to color the pictures in this coloring book

  5. Hi Kelsey, I admire your artistic ability. It is really beautiful!
What lifts me? My love for my children, music and Ireland ( but I live in Italy)
I have my personal angels in heaven (my dad and a dear friend of mine). But your wings lift me up. They make me feel better❤
Just keep in contact if you come in Italy.

  6. Hi, Kelsey, I am an elementary art teacher in Clinton, Iowa. I have close to 1600 students (thanks to our government cuts to education). Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I have introduced your work to my students K-5. We’ve decided to create Growth Mindset themed murals that can be social media interactive. You will get credit, (as, of course you should) for being the inspiration. Families can pose on Parent Night. The middle school and high school are running with this idea too. Cool how K-12 grade will be involved.

I would love some autobiographical information on you, if possible. I like my students to understand that artists are people just like them. What inspired you to become an artist? What were/are some of your biggest challenges? How did you overcome them? Do you have any pets? If so, do they influence your work? Would you be willing to Skype with a class of 5th grade students? I could have them formulate some questions. I know you’re pretty busy being the glamorous, rocking artist, but we’d love to get to know you better. I teach in a couple of schools that are 90% free and reduced lunches. Finding role models other than athletes would be a big deal. Thanks for your time. -Lisa

  7. Hello Kelsey, We would love to carry this idea into our CrossFit Box. Would you be interested in helping us incorporate CrossFit related items into the wing art. I can paint, so that is not an issue, it is the creativity of the wings, I am struggling with. The transformation of before and after photos, flying high after becoming fit and strong, seems like a perfect thing for us to do. How much would you charge to do the design artwork?

  8. If you ever want to bring this positivity to Wesley Chapel, FL…have you ever thought of bringing it to a high school? I’m not sure if it would be allowed, but this is EXACTLY the type of thing that needs to be there! Cypress Creek Middle High School is a brand new school in our area and will be going into only its second year for the 18’-19’ academic year…how great would it be to do something like this!

  9. The Hot Air Balloon is my favorite mural you have completed, right here in Nashville, TN. Out of all the murals I have seen, yours is right at the top. Congratulations on your hard work and success! I love that there is a real basket underneath the mural that you step into to have your pictures taken.

  10. I’m from Canada do we have any here? The first one I saw was in Dublin I love d it. Also I was in Dubai in the tallest building in the world are those yours?
